God keeps calling to Jonah, the same calling, but finally, Jonah listens and obeys.  God is gracious and about second chances.  Even Nineveh was able to repent too.  It's a lesson that anyone can change, create a new relationship with God, and create new attitudes.  Much like Yom Kippur, Teshuvah or returning to God is about new opportunities.
