SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL– The UMJC has a new campaign (“If Not Now, When?”) to support Israel and especially some friends and family during this terrible time. If you want to give a financial gift to help families in the Messianic Jewish community, including those with family members in the IDF, visit umjc.org.
MEN’S BAGEL BREAKFAST MINYAN—All men and boys are invited to join together to pray and to hear from a special speaker tomorrow, Sun. Mar. 17, 7:30am-9am. Bring your tallis and tefillin and $5 to go towards breakfast. See you there!
YEA MORDECHAI!—Join us for our annual Purim celebration on Sat. Mar. 23 at 7pm. Bring your best costume and your groggers as we recount one of the many stories of Hashem’s faithfulness to His chosen people. Also bring your non-perishable food donations for our Mishloach Manot Food Drive to bless some needy families in partnership with Jewish Family Service. Am Yisrael Chai!
KA KIDS HEBREW SCHOOL— Kids aged 10-13, Sat. mornings at 9:00am-10:00am before service. This class is a requirement for all kids who want to become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah at KA. Taught by Rabbi Barney Kasdan and Chaplain Candidate Jacob Landers. Talk to Rabbi or contact the Office for fees and details.
NEW 8-WEEK BEGINNING & INTERMEDIATE HEBREW WITH SHULI—Classes in KA in the Social Hall and also via Zoom. Intermediate will follow at 7:30 pm for 1.5 hours. $10.00 per class. Please email interest to Shulihanover@gmail.com or contact the Office.
FREE BEGINNER HEBREW CLASS–Join Rabbi Barney after Shabbat services in the Social Hall for a 4-week Beginner Hebrew class, 1:30-3:00pm. By week 2, you will be reading passages right out of the Torah! If you need to start your Hebrew learning journey, you will not want to miss this. No class March 23.
SISTERHOOD LUNCHEON—Sat. April 6, 1:30pm in the Social Hall after service. The theme is “Pray for Israel” with special speakers sharing their experiences from the October 7th attack on Israel. There will also be a raffle to raise money for ministries in Ukraine. We will be electing our new board members. All women and daughters are invited!
SEDER TICKETS ON SALE TODAY—Tue., Apr. 23 or Mon., Apr. 29 both at 6:30pm in the KA Sanctuary. Tickets are $49 for adults and $29 for children. Catered by our friends at Elijah’s Deli. Come to the table after service to get your tickets to one of two Seders. Also volunteer servers are appreciated; sign up at the table.
JEWISH BOOK CLUB HAVURAH—The first meeting will be Tue., Apr. 2 at 10:00-11:30am in the Resource Center, where we will decide on the first book from the reading list. Meetings will be the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month. If you are interested, contact Beth Flowers, 505-205-3843.
PRAYER MINYAN AND MESSIANIC JEWISH INSTITUTE— Current class, “Messiah in the Constellations.” Tuesdays, 7pm-8:30pm. Taught by Rabbi Kasdan. $60 fee. Available onsite or via zoom. Prayer minyan starts at 6:30pm. “Without a word, the heavens declare the message from God” King David. You can also contact our office to download many informative classes on our Jewish Roots.

CHECK OUT OUR RESOURCE CENTER– Mayim Chayim (Living Waters) Resource Center has many kinds of books by Messianic authors, Bibles, and music by well-known artists for sale. Contact the office for details on books, pricing, and payment. You can also purchase Rabbi Kasdan’s newest commentary on Acts, for personal edification or for class at our Messianic Jewish Institute.
