EVENTS

  • TASTE OF TORAH CLASS-Shabbat 9-10am in the Resource Center studying the weekly Torah Parsha. Join us as we rediscover the foundations of our faith in Messiah. Various KA teachers. See Gabe Pacheco for details. All adults and older kids welcome!
  • ESTUDIO DE BIBLIA EN ESPAÑOL9-10am cada Shabbat con Fernando Esquer. Todos Bienvenido.Tambien ofrecemos Havurah en Espanol y materiales Mesianicos en venta.
  • TUES PRAYER MINYAN AND MESSIANIC JEWISH INSTITUTE Join the Prayer Minyan at 6:30-7:00pm as we lift up the needs of Israel and our synagogue. Current class”Jewish History 102”, (Middle Ages to Modern Israel). Tuesday evenings, 7:00-8:30pm. Learn more about your roots and G-d’s plan for our people!  $60 fee per student.  Taught by Rabbi Kasdan.
  • SISTERHOOD MINI RETREATtoday-Sunday, Sept 21- Sept 22. Island Palms Hotel and Marina.  3 options:  6 per suite with kitchenette ($85/pp), 4 per room ($75/pp) or day use only ($30/pp). Includes dinner & breakfast.   Don’t miss the sweet time of fellowship in a beautiful setting! Still a few spots left. See Jenny White, Yrena Niewald or Jan Folb after service out on the patio.
  • TEKIAH! KA HIGH HOLY DAYS SCHEDULE—
    • Erev Rosh Hashanah-Sunday, Sept 29, 7:30pm. Usher in the spiritual New Year celebrating the goodness of Messiah!  This will be a traditional service including the sounding of the shofar (ram’s horn) and a special message on the importance of the holiday for all believers in Yeshua.
    • Rosh Hashanah-Monday, Sept 30, 10:30am. Continued prayer and meditation at this traditional service.
    • Tashlich-La Jolla Shores, Monday, Sept 30, 4:00pm. Join us as we cast bread crumbs into the sea to remind us of the important truths of the High Holiday season.  Meet on the grassy area by the main lifeguard tower.
    • Erev Yom Kippur – Kol Nidre Service-Tuesday, Oct. 8, 7:30pm. We will have a special assembly for this holiest day of the biblical calendar. We will enter into the congregational fast starting sundown Tuesday through sundown Wednesday as we pray for our spiritual lives and for our people of Israel. Special Note: In the spirit of “tzedakah”(helping others), we are suggesting that all worshipers bring to service some non-perishable food items or a check donation which will in turn be given to help some needy families through Jewish Family Service. It would be fitting to donate the value of the amount which we would normally have eaten when not fasting.
    • Yom Kippur – Wednesday, Oct. 9, 10:30am. We will continue in prayer and fasting at this traditional service.
    • Yom Kippur (Yizkor/Neilah)-Closing service followed by  Break-the-Fast-potluck-Weds,Oct. 9, 5:30pm.
    • Note: All services are free but reservations are required for services for non-members of KA.  Call the KA office reserve your seats and invite a Jewish friend.
    •  Save the Dates: Sukkot- Saturday, October 19, 10:30am
    •                                  Simchat Torah– Monday, Oct 21, 7:00pm
