PRAYER MINYAN AND MESSIANIC JEWISH INSTITUTE—On summer break until September. If you would like some great personal studies over the summer, we have over 20 courses recorded and ready for purchase. Such topics as Intro to Talmud, Book of Revelation and Jewish Customs. Contact the KA office for a listing and further information.
HEBREW WITH ISRAELI INSTUCTOR SHULI—Tue., 5:30pm-7:00pm for beginning students and intermediate students Thu., 6pm-7:30pm. Available via Zoom only. Contact shulihanover@gmail.com for more information.
UMJC ISRAEL STUDY & MITZVAH TOUR—The Union and KA are visiting Eretz Yisrael in March 2027! If you want to join the UMJC as we visit friends and family in our ancient homeland, ask the office for the email from the Union that has the links to sign up along with the itinerary. Led by our Rabbi Barney and Rebbetzin Liz! There is also a Youth Adventure Tour with international youth at the same time. Go to umjc.org for more details.
SPECIAL SPEAKER TODAY: DANIEL LISCHINSKY—We welcome Daniel and ministry friend, Joshua Turnil. Daniel’s son, Yaron, and his partner, Sarah Milgrim, were murdered outside the Capitol Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. in May 2025. Since then, Daniel has become a brave speaker against antisemitism and hatred.
HOUSE OF ISRAEL 78TH BIRTHDAY—Join local San Diegans, local Israeli’s and the wider Jewish community tomorrow Sun. Aug. 2 at the House of Israel in Balboa Park to celebrate 78 years of the House of Israel. There will be a lawn program with food, music, and various vendors.
37TH ANNUAL SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL—Starts August 12 at the Lawrence Family JCC with films about the Argentine Jewish community and other Jewish topics. For more information and tickets, visit lfjcc.org.
SHABBAT AT THE SHORES—Fri. Aug. 14, come out to La Jolla Shores for this wonderful time of music, liturgy and testimonies at this gorgeous location. Bring your picnic dinner, chair and your family. 5pm to sunset. Meet the Rabbi for a surf session at the checkered flag at 4pm!
HOUSING FOR KA MEMBER—One of our young adult female KA members is looking for a room to rent. She is also an in-home caretaker. If you have any leads, please contact the office.
MAYIM HAYIM RESOURCE CENTER—Check out our Resource Center for Messianic Jewish books for purchase or Library books for borrow (for members) or to read in our library (for non-members) including Rabbi Barney Kasdan’s commentaries. We have a shipment of the Budoff Messianic Siddur as well as Dr. Stern’s Nuevo Testamento en Español. Contact the office to visit during the week or talk to KA leadership on how you can purchase materials.
